The Gang of Dreamers

Petros Opsiretis was born in Florina, Greece, on September 22, 1980. Between 2002 and 2004, he studied Applied Photography at the Cultural Vocational Institute (IEK) of Thessaloniki. In the summer of 2006, he continued his artistic journey in Florence, earning a filmmaking diploma from the New York Film Academy. In 2016, he attended an advanced editing seminar at Kipos Thessaloniki. In 2022, his feature-length screenplay "The Dreamers' Gang" received an Honorable Mention from the Greek Screenwriters' Guild. That same year (2022–23), he enrolled in the screenwriting program at TABULA RASA School, and the following year (2023–24), he pursued further specialization through their script coaching course. Beyond screenwriting, he has authored a mini-series of eight crime episodes entitled "Sacred Crimes," currently under evaluation by FOSS PRODUCTIONS. His first novel, "The Dreamers' Gang," tells the story of four friends born in Paris in 1950. This close-knit group, known as Z4, weaves the diary of their lives with cherished memories. Yet, as the years pass and they witness the emotional erosion brought on by sweeping social changes, they realize they must act—even if it might already be too late.
