On the one side, there is the People’s Republic of Greece, based in Thessaloniki, and on the other, the Kingdom of Greece, based in Athens.
The two states are constantly changing leaders and governments, which greatly affects their relationship.

At times, their relations deteriorate, while at other times, efforts are made to mend them.
The new geopolitical developments (regional nuclear arms, Cyprus’ independence, and the creation of the EEC) bring about the need for new alliances with neighboring countries.
