The second part picks up exactly where the first one left off, in the late 1951 to early 1952, with the same four protagonists: Vasso, Thanasos, Nikos, and Heracles. Greece is now divided into two.
On the one side, there is the People’s Republic of Greece, based in Thessaloniki, and on the other, the Kingdom of Greece, based in Athens.
The two states are constantly changing leaders and governments, which greatly affects their relationship.
At times, their relations deteriorate, while at other times, efforts are made to mend them.
The new geopolitical developments (regional nuclear arms, Cyprus’ independence, and the creation of the EEC) bring about the need for new alliances with neighboring countries.
How high have our protagonists managed to climb within the ranks of power?
How much can they now influence the political life of their countries?
What will become of the “forbidden” love story between Vasso and Heracles?
What great secrets are hidden within the monasteries of Mount Athos?
What role do Cyprus and Turkey play in the region? And what will happen on April 21, 1967?
The answers come in the second part…
